FOLD UNFOLD
Delicate papers, with no more than creases, piercing and pigments. Paint (pigment) soaks into the paper fibres and they become one; pigments and paper in unison.
Disturbed fibres of the paper, by folding and unfolding, creates lines that are accentuated as the pigments settle into the recesses and broken surface of the paper.
Inspired by origami, the traditional Japanese art of paper folding. More specific, the grid folds used in origami tessellation.
